Founded over a decade ago during the housing market recovery, R5 Homes was built on the belief that homeownership should be affordable—without sacrificing quality, comfort, or design. Through thoughtful design and engineering, we’ve created a way for families to achieve lasting affordability, and this remains one of the core principles behind our mission.

Our Story
After the crash of 2008, when homeownership felt out of reach for many, we made a decision: to become builders who focused on affordability. We started with detached townhomes—practical, modest, and attainable for families looking to rebuild.
That spirit of innovation soon led us to create cottage home communities: single-family homes with sought-after features, designed to give families more space and dignity at a price they could still afford. As the market recovered and the economy strengthened, our homes grew with it—larger footprints, more features, and spaces that fit evolving lifestyles.
Then came a new challenge.
After COVID, as mortgage rates climbed, affordability once again slipped away for families across the country. We knew the next generation of homebuyers needed a new generation of design. Drawing on our background in real estate and investment housing, we created something different: integrated FLEX-ADUs and multi-generational suites.
